Go Purple This International Women’s Day || Outfit Inspiration

Hey Guys!

Quote about women and all we can achieve by Michelle Obama

Before I get into the main purpose if this post, it’s only right I give you an insight on what the International Women’s Day is all about. International Women’s Day is a day celebrated across the world to celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness against bias systems and take action for equality. International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality (International Women’s Day website)

Celebrating this day is very important for every woman. If this is your first time celebrating it I’m happy that you decided to. The color theme for this #IWD2021 is purple which signifies gender equality, What better way to celebrate it than with your style, I have selected several style inspirations for different kind of women, keep scrolling to find the one that best suits you.

For the girl that likes to keep it corporate and put together…

March 8 falls on a Monday, which means a good number of us will be celebrating it at work. You could throw on a cute blazer like this one from ASOS or you can go full on power suit in something like this ZARA look. If you are not down for trousers then you could do skirts like this two piece from ASOS is for you.

For the “simple but like to keep it cute” girl…

This is likely where I fall under. You’ll always see me in simple pieces that require little to no effort to pull of. This purple midi dress is something you can see me wearing, and this dress with bow details is to die for, if you don’t mind showing some skin then go for it!

For the girl who doesn’t do color…

If you read the title and whispered “there’s no way I’m wearing purple, I don’t do color!” Then I’ve got just the right idea for you! This idea is to ACCESSORIZE. Throw on cute accessories with hints of purple and you’re good to go. Like this Swarovski twist row pendant you can go an extra mile and add this purple shoulder bag.

For the tomboy…

If you scrolled and kept wondering where the baggy/comfortable clothes were then I’m here to tell you your time is here 😂. You can go full on purple like this look or just wear a basic tee and trousers.

For the girl who plans on spending that day with drinks and conversation…

You’ve been invited for a cocktail party and you definitely don’t want to show up wearing the black. You can switch it up and wear something purple like this Irun set from Kai Collective or this mini ruffled collar dress from ASOS.

For the girls that want to spend time together…

What better way to spend the day than to spend with other women? Get your squad and try to get everyone to get dressed on purple and see what you all come up with.

For the conservative queen…

This section is for my Hijabis and other women who have decided to cover up their body for religious and personal reasons. Throw on a purple statement or dress up in a full purple fit. Either way, look fly as hell!

Remember ladies, it doesn’t matter if you wear the color purple. What matters is the fact that you understand what this day is all about, try to get involved as much as you can!

We have come to the end of this post. Hope you enjoyed this? I also hope you’ll try some looks from this. Thank you for reading to this point. Remember to smile and be kinder to people❤️

Chika❤️
