I Can’t Believe This is in Nigeria!? A Restaurant Review ft 4Guys Restaurant

Hey guys!

It’s been a minute, how have you been? What have you done lately? I’ve been up to a few things and discovering 4Guys Restaurant was one of them! Like most restaurants in Abuja, it is located at Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent, Wuse (am I the only one that has deeped this fact?) Without wasting your time let’s get into the review!

A couple of days back, my girls and I decided to go out for lunch and after looking through several menus we settled for one (we ended up ditching cause we weren’t pleased at all). We chose a different restaurant and 4Guys was the lucky choice (if I’m being honest the review is starting now, I lied the first time😂😉) .

I want to state that 4Guys Restaurant has a “No Mask, No Entry” policy, seeing that masks are the new normal I had no problem with that. When you enter the restaurant you are pointed toward a sanitizer machine, that obviously dispenses sanitizer (that was another good tick about the restaurant). I loved the feel of the restaurant, very cozy, warm and rich, like an ‘I have arrived’ feel. The aesthetic is very modern, with dim lights, warm decor and wooden structures, a place where you spend money and not feel bad about it😅. Throwing this in there, it has this cute wine cellar that’s great for taking pictures (do with this information what you will 😉).

Now let’s talk food, cause you aren’t eating wooden structures 😅, we had calamari and fries as starters (first time tasting calamari and it wasn’t bad at all), for our main dishes we ordered Beef Black Pepper Sauce with Plain rice, Linguini Sea food and Udon Noodles Chicken, for drinks we all had the Virgin Strawberry Mojito. Before this day I had never tried any of the food mentioned (so this is a first impression taste test), the beef black pepper sauce was one of my faves, I don’t know how to explain the taste but it tasted good, it was a mix of different flavors, very meaty and saucy. If your new at eating Chinese food then this is for you. I also tried the linguini sea food and this had a peculiar taste, it tasted really sea foody, that won’t be a problem if you are a fan of sea food but it wasn’t something I would like to order if I was asked to. I can’t really describe it like I would have loved to but all I can say is if you like sea food and Italian cuisine this is for you. The udon noodles chicken tasted rich, with different textures in your mouth as you chew, my absolute fave. Although, my friend pointed out that they used the wrong noodle (apparently it is usually chunky and thick, like an overgrown spaghetti), it was packed with veggies and plenty chicken (I asked for extra chicken, so that probably why). It was my first time trying Japanese food and I loved it. They all came in great portions enough to feed two people so that was a plus.

The price was fair for a modern restaurant in Abuja and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like spending money. The menu is on their Instagram page, so you can check what you want before coming to the restaurant.

The service was okay, nothing too extra. All the staff were masked and they all followed the safety rules for this corona period.

Overall, the restaurant was a good place to visit. If I was asked to rate it out of a ten I would give it an 8/10. So that’s an 8/10 for food, a 9/10 for aesthetic and space, and an 8/10 for service. Would I come back here? Yes. Is it worth your money? Yeah it is.

Did this review make you want to visit 4Guys? Have you tried Chinese, Japanese and Italian food, what is your fave? Let me know in the comment section!

Thank you for reading.
