A Day Out at Chestnut – A Restaurant Review.

Hey guys!

Your favorite girl is back again with another blog post and this time it’s something different, a first and definitely not a last. Today I’ll be talking about my visit to Chestnut, a restaurant in Gwarinpa, Abuja.

On Saturday me and a friend were contemplating on where we could have lunch and we finalized on Chestnut and honestly, that was a great decision. The restaurant is located at 3rd Avenue, Gwarinpa. By the LG/Samsung Building and directly above Miniso.

The aesthetics of this restaurant can be described as chic and calm, every spot has something different about it, no repeated designs, so that means you have different options for pictures 😉. Before I forget they don’t have a “no pictures policy” so its great if you want to create content. If I’m to score the ambience on a 5-scale rating I’ll give it a 3.5-4/5.

Anyways, the ambience of a restaurant doesn’t make a restaurant, the food does. I ordered the oriental rice (which tasted amazing and came in a pretty good portion) and my friend got grilled chicken with jollof rice as the side (pretty basic? I’m aware 😂), and we had water as our drink. Did I mention how cheap this place is compared to other restaurants? Yes our meals were quite basic but it still doesn’t change the fact that the meals were relatively cheap. Time to rate it, for taste and quantity 4/5, for presentation 3/5, for cost 4/5 and for time 3.5/5.

Before I forget, the waiter mentioned that they offer various services like, using their space for birthdays and events (and you don’t even need to pay for the space, just tell them your budget for food and they sort everything out for you, how cool is that!?) and they also offer outdoor catering (so you can hire them for parties).

That’s it guys! My review on Chestnut. Would I come here again? Definitely, already planned two dates now. Would I recommend them for catering? Absolutely. Do they have a bar? Yeah they do, although I didn’t get pictures of it. Is this post sponsored? Nope, but if they reach out to me I won’t say no 😌😉.

Thank you for reading. Let me know, would you like to visit Chestnut?

-Chika ❤️

Ps: I took these pictures guys!! What do you think?

  1. Makes a lot of sense first time seeing this, would definitely check it out, but I’ll need someone who’s gone there to go with.
